Petty Politicians of TamilNadu threatening the Spirit of the State by mindlessly opposing CSK and IPL
After banishing IPL from my living room for the past 2 years, finally I was watching an IPL game thanks to the return of my city Team - CSK. It was a joy to see our sunshine team walk out after so long. And they did not disappoint. CSK started off with a bang as they beat Mumbai Indians in a thriller. Chennai took on the might of Mumbai at the Wankede in the first game of IPL 2018. there were a few hiccups in batting and things looked down and out. The reliable Bravo came in to play a match saving innings and the injured Jadhav showed immense courage to seal the win with just one ball left. It was a stupendous comeback!
But now something totally unnecessary and unpleasant have been started by a bunch of petty politicians and activists. They have started linking IPL with the Cauvery Issue with the aim of gaining political ground.
For all the opportunistic politicians and others who are calling for the boycott of IPL and CSK, please do understand that Chennai Super Kings personify the true spirit of our state - to fight against all odds with the right spirit, courage and determination. Its a team that needs our complete backing because it represents the undying spirit of our wonderful state - Tamilnadu. To rise up against all odds and to give it our all - that's the core of our team. Its a team that needs to be supported and used as a means instead of boycotting. You want an example of that- then watch how the people of Catalunya back FC Barcelona and how it unites them and makes them stronger. Why not all the wonderful people who are unnecessarily mixing politics with sports shut their lucrative channels or upcoming movies or TV Programs or Business ventures as part of the protest instead of backing such ridiculous ideas. They would never do that because it will affect their own pockets. They are personally not affected by calling for such things because its convenient and does not affect them in any way.
Why dont you all land up in New Delhi and demand the, totally unconcerned, Central Government to take the required action? Why dont you take the legal route instead of suggesting things that doesn't make any difference to the Cauvery Issue or the tragic conditions of our suffering farmers? It takes guts to do the things that actually matters in the case of the Cauvery Issue.
Just because the people of the state are silent, never think that the general public of Tamilnadu are idiots to blindly accept whatever you all say. I promise you, we are not idiots and we totally understand what all these gimmicks are for. And not a single vote would come your way on the basis of these totally unwarranted and rowdy actions.
