Who is a better dribbler - Messi or Maradona?
This is one big, never-ending argument. Both these incredible gifts, from Argentina to Football, are awesome dribblers.
Maradona
was more like a bulldozer powering his way through terrorized
opponents. There was no stopping the little Golden Boy when he got into
his stride. It’s as if the ball was glued to his shoes when he made
those incredible runs. He made the 1986 FIFA World Cup, literally his
own with his incredible skills. An amazing talent who left the audience
and opposition stunned with admiration.
Messi
is more like poetry in motion; accelerating from a stroll into an
enormous sprint, while dribbling with very quick, swaying movements.
Never go by his baby face - he is physically very strong and extremely
hard to bring down. Its never obvious because of his fantastic
anticipation which helps him avoid most tackles. Its extremely difficult
to anticipate what he will do when he gets the ball. Its this
unpredictability that makes him difficult to mark.
Diego
was an unstoppable missile that knew its target and reached it with
pinpoint accuracy. Leo is the Lightening and no ones knows where and
when it will strike.
I would rather not compare the two because they are legends of their generations and its very unfair to do it.
